Timothy Montavon - Javelin thrower
My name is Timothy Montavon, I'm 15 and I'm a javelin thrower in the U18 category. Passionate about athletics since the age of 5, I'm a member of the US Arnage (Sarthe) and I'm continuing my training at the Pôle Espoir de Poitiers, in sport-studies at the Lycée Camille Guérin.
In 2025, I won two French U16 titles in the javelin throw: the UGSEL championship, and the League Cup in Lens with the Pays de la Loire team, where I finished first in the javelin. My personal best is 52.34m in the 700g javelin, set at Nice on February 22, 2026 during the French Winter Throws Championships.
This season 2025-2026, I'm devoting myself fully to the javelin, with the ambition of breaking the 60-meter barrier. Coming from a family of athletes - my great-grandfather Roger Collas was French champion and the Coulaines stadium bears his name - athletics is a family affair.
